Vickerstock are working in partnership with a growing manufacturing business on the appointment of a Warehouse Lead on a full-time permanent basis.

As the Warehouse Lead you will lead and optimise the warehouse operations, ensuring efficient stock control, order fulfilment, and logistical efficiency. This role is critical in maintaining smooth warehouse processes, ensuring compliance, and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

In your new role:

• Oversee warehouse activities, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• Maintain accurate stock control, minimising waste and optimising storage solutions.
• Ensure proper handling of raw materials and finished goods per food safety regulations.
• Implement and manage WMS and ERP systems for real-time inventory tracking.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and food safety standards (BRC, HACCP).
• Lead, train, and develop the warehouse team for high performance.
• Foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with Transport and 3PL providers for seamless inbound/outbound logistics.
• Maintain strong supplier and transporter relationships.
• Manage budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Implement Lean and automation strategies to boost productivity.

Essential

• Three years recent experience in a warehouse supervisory/management
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.

Desirable

• FMCG experience
• Experience as Stores or Stock Manager is also considered
• Experience working with 3PLs
• Previous experience working on lean/PI strategies.
