Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership on this fantastic opportunity of Quality & Feed Specialist for our client (a leading supplier to the Irish Feed Industry/Barnett Hall)

Working closely with the Quality Manager you will maintain and promote feed safety, quality and integrity standards across all supporting businesses.

What your day to day will look like:

  • Manage, monitor and evaluate the Quality System and Procedures across the business.
  • Provide technical expertise and agri-sector knowledge and support for the Operational and Trading Teams
  • Identify and highlight compliance and non-compliance with Legal and Customer requirements, especially feed safety and integrity.
  • Effective internal and external management of feed safety issues, through to conclusion.
  • Working along with the Operations and Trading Teams to identify root cause, corrective actions and to ensure continuous improvement, building effective working relationships based on subject matter expertise.
  • Maintaining and developing sections of the Quality management system in line with our business and customer requirements
  • Responsibility for internal and external audits
  • Liaising with suppliers, shippers and other external or internal contacts to manage and organise the quality sampling process.
  • Participation and/or leadership on strategic business teams, e.g., ERP / Sustainability

What you will need to succeed:

  • 3 years' experience working in a quality assurance environment
  • 3rd Level qualification in aa relevant discipline (Food/Agri Science) OR relevant substantial experience
  • Compliance driven
  • Able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Relevant Professional qualifications, such as GAFTA, HACCP or ISO accreditation training would be an advantage
  • Full clean driving licence and access to own car
  • Ability to travel and work throughout the island of Ireland
