Vickerstock are working in partnership with a hugely successful agricultural business in Armagh on the appointment of a Junior Buyer. On offer is an attractive salary and a large amount of responsibility and autonomy for the successful applicant.

• £30,000 +
• Core hours: 09:00 - 16:30
• Standard working hours: 08:30 - 17:00

Duties will include:

• Have sole responsibility for the whole purchasing function
• Responsibility for developing and creating supplier relationships
• Ensure that the correct amount of stock is available and quickly deal with any shortfalls
• Source new suppliers and engage in effective negotiation on price and lead time
• Report directly to the Head of Finance and provide weekly updates
• Liaise closely with accounts regarding invoices

What you will need to succeed:

• Three year's in a similar position
• Strong interest in developing a career in purchasing
• Confident communication with negotiation skills
• Strong Excel skills (essential) MRP/SAGE skills (not essential)
• Ability to work in a stand alone position.
