Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

Vickerstock are working with our client based in Belfast to assist them with the recruitment of an Electrical Engineering Supervisor. Our client is one of NI's longest standing employers, having been established over 150 years ago as a small company, to now being one of the market leading firms within their field.

This role would be well suited to a competent Electrical or Mechatronic Maintenance Engineer/Technician who has experience gained within an Automated production facility, ideally with experience of performing supervisory duties. If you are currently working in a similar role but would prefer to work Monday to Friday on a dayshift basis then this role could be ideal for you.

This role is primarily a Monday to Friday dayshift position (early finish on Fridays) with a weekend OT rota (1 in 3).

Duties of this role will include

  • Supervising the Electrical Maintenance team, prioritising and assigning tasks appropriately.
  • Ensuring preventative maintenance aligns with the PM program, accurately recording both planned and breakdown activities.
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on plant equipment/machinery.
  • Execute safety routines, permit to work systems, and manage external contractors on-site.
  • Collaborating with both production and Mechanical Maintenance teams to address breakdowns and establish the best course of action to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
  • Providing support and training to more junior and intermediate members of the team.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, environmental procedures and ensuring these are followed by the rest of the team.

What you'll need for this role

  • Third level Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering qualification and/or a Time-Served Electrical apprenticeship.
  • Strong level of all round Electrical Engineering knowledge, with at least 5 years' experience gained within a Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with PLC & Variable speed drives.
  • Proven track record in process improvement, with a strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when required and participate in weekend OT rota.
