Vickerstock is partnering with our FMCG client, a leading supplier of high-quality, sustainable meat products known for their commitment to excellence. They are currently seeking a Technical Manager to join their team at their site in Co. Meath.

Reporting to the General Manager you will ensure the Food Safety & Quality Management System is fully implemented.
Key Duties

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the site.
• Collaborate with the Site Production Manager to ensure the effective implementation of the Food Safety and Quality Management System.
• Ensure full compliance with DAFM, BRC, MPQAS, and customer-specific requirements.
• Regularly review and update Food Safety and Quality Management Systems to align with legislative and customer standards.
• Stay informed about changes in food legislation and emerging food safety risks.
• Oversee certification and customer audits, ensuring timely completion of corrective action reports.
• Handle customer complaints by conducting root-cause analyses and implementing corrective measures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Food Safety and Quality Objectives.
• Foster and promote a strong Food Safety Culture across the site.
• Mentor and develop the technical team to nurture talent and build expertise.

We are looking for:

• Strong experience at Management level within Quality/Technical
• Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP and Good Manufacturing Procedures
• A proficient user of computers, i.e.: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Good communication skills, ability to work in a team and on own initiative
• Strong organisational skills giving attention to detail
