Job description
Vickerstock is proud to be working in partnership with an innovative and diverse Food Production Client on the appointment of Technical Manager for their site in Armagh. They are passionate about quality and are committed to supplying premium products that are fresh and locally sourced.
Reporting to the Group Technical Manager and Operations Director you will be responsible for all technical aspects on site including NPD.

What your typical day will look like as Technical Manager:
- Responsible for all unannounced third party (BRC), second party and department technical audits.
- Traceability is critical:
- responsible for ensuring full traceability from Intake to dispatch.
- responsible for ensuring Internal audits, Traceability and Product Recall exercises etc conducted to schedule, and are effective
- Responsible for all cleaning activities to ensure site is 'Audit ready' at all times
- monitoring and addressing - ensuring full compliance to cleaning activities / procedures
- Responsible for all activities ensuring NPD from trial to production, including specifications.
- New lines - responsible for ensuring labelling machines are set up correctly, and training of associated records/packing specifications to relevant operators.
- Responsible for the maintenance and generation of all specifications from customer to floor and raw material.
- Responsible for all activities to ensure full Allergen controls on site.
- Maintenance, lead and guide in all areas of QMS.
- HACCP/TACCP/VACCP Team leader -must be competent.
- Specifications - Responsible for upkeep.
- Quality Culture / Quarterly objectives / Monthly quality and Annual management review meetings.
- Responsible for the follow up, and close out of all non-conformances / requests in a timely manner.
- Responsible for staff inductions / training on new procedures etc, and upkeep of training matrix.
- Liaise with all departments of the company - NPD, Production, Sales etc.
- Any other associated duties.
What you will need to secure your new role:
- Strong Technical Management/Compliance Background
- Strong personality, be open to change and have a positive, proactive approach.
- Good attention to detail and communcation skills
