Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with our client a leading supplier to the frozen foodservice industry on the appointment of NPD Assistant for their Newry based site.

Reporting to the Technical Manager you will play a crucial role in supporting our NPD & Technical operations ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards and HACCP protocols.

What your day to day will look like:

• Assist the NPD team in the research, planning, and development of new products to ensure timely and successful launches.
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of HACCP plans to ensure food safety and quality.
• Conduct regular quality assurance checks on products and processes, documenting findings accurately.
• Analyse data related to production processes and quality metrics, providing insights for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with team members to identify areas for enhancement in operational efficiency.
• Support the preparation of technical documentation and reports as required.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on industry standards and best practices

What you will need to succeed:

• Experience in NPD/Technical environment preferably with meat
• 3rd level qualification in food related discipline.
• Familiarity with HACCP principles and quality assurance methodologies is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
