Vickerstock are proudly working in partnership with our Food Manufacturing client based in Portadown to assist them with the recruitment of a Maintenance Manager.

Our client is a reputable employer in the local area known for valuing their employee's well-being and work/life balance. They rarely recruit due to low levels of staff turnover, and this represents an opportunity for somebody who has experience managing a team of Engineers who wants to join an organisation where people are at the heart of their operation.

What will your day-to-day duties consist of in this role?

• Implementing and reviewing preventative maintenance schedules for Production Machinery and equipment across various production lines.
• Managing and overseeing the Maintenance team on a daily basis, providing guidance and training where necessary.
• Overseeing the installation of new machinery and equipment.
• Liaising with and managing outside contractors when required.
• Participating in continuous improvement projects to assist in maximising the OEE performance of the machinery across the site.
• Train operators on how to correctly operate the machinery.
• Management of the department budget and sourcing of spare parts.
• Other duties as necessary.

What will you need?

• Third level Engineering qualification/Time-Served Engineering apprenticeship.
• Multi-Skilled experience, with a strong all round Electrical & Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience within a Maintenance management/supervisory role (preferably within a food/FMCG environment).
• Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate a team.
