Dispatch/Production Supervisor
North Dublin
Full Time | Permanent
Monday - Friday | 2pm - 11pm
€40,000 - €45,000
Vickerstock are working in partnership with our Irish client who are fresh food manufacturers located in North Dublin. Supplying products to both retail and food service sectors across Ireland. Currently seeking a fulltime/permanent Dispatch/Production Supervisor.
Reporting to the Production Manger you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the required food safety, quality, and health & safety standards. You will manage a team of staff, ensuring smooth operations, efficient stock management, and timely order fulfilment. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and foster effective communication between all relevant departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Product & Inventory Management - Ensure all incoming and outgoing goods meet food safety and quality standards. Oversee stock control, storage, and rotation to maintain accurate inventory.
- Health, Safety & Compliance - Enforce food safety, quality, and health & safety standards, reviewing and improving processes to maintain compliance with company and industry regulations.
- Team Leadership & Communication - Lead daily staff meetings, provide feedback, and ensure clarity on roles and responsibilities. Manage staffing levels, schedules, and task delegation for efficiency.
- Order Fulfilment & Logistics - Oversee timely processing and dispatch of orders to meet deadlines and maintain a high order fill rate. Coordinate with drivers to prevent delays.
- Training & Performance Management - Ensure staff are properly trained, maintain accurate training records, and foster continuous employee development. Monitor and enhance performance through accountability.
- Operational Efficiency & Problem-Solving - Identify and address issues proactively, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Waste & Facility Management - Ensure proper waste disposal, cleanliness, and organisation across all work areas, maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
- Documentation & Reporting - Maintain accurate paperwork, including dispatch records and inventory logs, and report key information to management.
- Cross-Department Collaboration - Work closely with internal teams, including Sales Orders and Production, to ensure smooth operations and resolve any logistical issues.
Experience Required
- Previous people supervisory/management experience within food manufacturing is essential
- Open to Production OR Dispatch/Warehouse background
This is an evening shift role with working hours of Monday - Friday 2pm to 11pm. Salary in return will be negotiable between €40k - €45k.
