Vickerstock are working in partnership with a manufacturing firm based in Lisburn on the appointment of a Buyer.

With a strong focus on process improvement you will be responsible for ensuring all materials are on site and on time to ensure the smooth day to day running of production.

In your new role:

• Report directly to the Purchasing Manager
• Source, negotiate and build relationships with key suppliers whilst continually monitoring performance and implementing corrective action as and when required
• Frequently assist with stock takes
• Work closely with stores personnel
• Carry out various daily tasks on the ERP system
• Play a key role in carrying out various process improvement projects both in the procurement and stores departments
• Frequently liaise with key stakeholders in the business providing them with updates on materials and any delays that may disrupt production

What you will need to succeed:

• A minimum of 2 years purchasing experience within a fast paced, manufacturing environment
• Experienced in using MRP/ERP systems

Desirable (It would be grat if you have this bur don't worry if you don't)

• CIPS qualification
