AutoCAD Technician (Designer) - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Are you an experienced Designer with a passion for interior design and space planning? Our client, a leading Building and Civil Engineering Contractor operating throughout the UK and Ireland, is seeking a skilled AutoCAD Technician to join their dynamic team on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.

Our client is renowned for their specialist division that encompasses fit-out, commercial furniture facilities management, and minor building works on projects up to £5m. They are committed to delivering excellence across various sectors.



Responsibilities

As a Designer, your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Using AutoCAD to produce general arrangement plans and layouts for commercial and higher education projects
  • Assisting in preparing design proposals, including concept sketches, renders, color schemes, and finish specifications
  • Preparing client presentations using InDesign, Photoshop, and PowerPoint
  • Presenting design concepts and ideas to clients confidently and clearly
  • Providing design management assistance to site teams, ensuring the design solution is realized accurately
  • Playing a pivotal role within the wider design group by researching design trends, product innovations, and interior solutions, and bringing new ideas to the team


Qualifications

Essential:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Interior Design
  • Experienced in AutoCAD

Desired:

  • Experience with software including Revit and Blender


Experience

  • Demonstrable experience within Interior Design
  • Experience in communicating with clients and delivering presentations to large groups
  • Excellent time and task management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team structure
  • Strong collaborative skills with an open and innovative mindset
  • Confidence in handling client and project demands
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility in working arrangements
