Vickerstock sponsorship helps CAFRE Packaging Student secure their dream job!
Here at Vickerstock we are heavily committed to investing in ‘Tomorrows Talent’ across all our specialisms. In 2021 Vickerstock collaborated with CAFRE college to sponsor students who were undertaking their Diploma in Packaging Technology as part of their CAFRE - College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise studies. Paul Muir, Food Manufacturing Recruitment Manager was then delighted to then be able to further assist a successor of this sponsorship in securing a full time career as Quality Compliance Officer. Paul Muir:
Here at Vickerstock we are heavily committed to investing in ‘tomorrows talent’ across all our specialisms: Food Manufacturing, Construction, Engineering and Manufacturing, Health and Safety and Professional Services.
Based on my my collaboration with Adele Dallas FHEA and the Team at CAFRE - College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise, little over a year ago I was introduced to Lecturer Ron Gardiner who invited Vickerstock to sponsor Students who were undertaking their Diploma in Packaging Technology as part of their CAFRE - College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise studies.
One of those students and recipients of Vickerstock’s sponsorship was Kerry Freud. Kerry, like all the participants, blew me away with her career ambitions…oh to be young again!
It was clear to me that Packaging was Kerry’s ‘thing’ so when Managing Director, Jamie Brow of Brow Packaging - got in touch looking to add further talent to his Team, Kerry was my first port of call. In fact my words to Jamie were ‘𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶’!! 👌
6 weeks later, Kerry is absolutely flying in her knew role as 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 with Brow Packaging. With impressive growth plans across the business in the coming months, I have no doubt this investment will prove instrumental as the business continues on it’s upward trajectory.
For me this is one of the most satisfying placements in my 20year Recruitment career and shows you what collaboration within our sector can achieve. 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 | 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 | 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 | 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 | 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 | 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿…it really doesn’t get much better.
(Special thanks to Adele Dallas FHEA, Ron Gardiner and Jamie Brow for the opportunity. And Kerry Freud, wishing you every success for your future career).
