Production Supervisor | Dungannon | £30-35k

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a Leading Food Manufacturing Client with the appointment of a highly driven Production Supervisor for their Dungannon based facility.

As the successful Production Supervisor you will provide leadership and support to the Production Manager in the day to day activities of the department in order to meet daily and weekly KPI's.

Your new role as Production Supervisor:

  • Provide supervision and direction to the team to support the achievement of agreed targets and deadlines
  • Maintaining an efficient productive department whilst adhering to all Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality Standards
  • Ensure all processes are adhered to and compliance with Company policies and procedures
  • Plan, organise and manage labour resources to ensure the Production Plan is met
  • Effectively resolve staff issues in relation to absenteeism and/or performance in conjunction with HR and Department Manager
  • Ensure that all employees receive appropriate training in order to effectively perform the role
  • Ensure agreed quality and hygiene standards communicated and adhered to continuously throughout the whole manufacturing process
  • Analyse and rectify accordingly any issues identified by the Team leaders / Key Operators which could affect achievement of the Production Plan, ensuring adherence to QAS and quality performance on each line
  • Support the Production Management in the identification, development and implementation of relevant departmental projects and initiatives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all functions including Engineering, Stores, Health and Safety, Production, FSQ, Planning, Finance, Sales, HR and L&D
  • Responsible for ensuring completion of accident investigations within the department

What you will need to succeed:

  • 1 years' proven experience as a Supervisor in a fast paced food production environment
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assist in leading and motivating a team
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Good IT skills (additional training on in-house systems will be provided on appointment)
  • Willingness to participate in Management Development training
