Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Manager

County Down

£35,000 to £45,000 plus benefits

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering and maintaining a positive Health and Safety culture and in ensuring the Company abides by its health and safety and quality standards.

The Company places a significant emphasis on investing in its people and is the recipient of an Investors in People Gold award. The role will be ideal for a candidate with SHEQ management experience who is looking for job satisfaction by adding value to a growing company.

HSEQ Manager Duties:

  • Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated and processes are in place to ensure
  • Responsible for the development and regular review of SHEQ Policies, Risk Assessments and Method Statements for all work equipment and
  • Responsible for the ongoing development and administration of ISO
  • Update, facilitate and deliver new employee induction
  • Assist in ensuring that all accidents and incidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements
  • Carry out regular inspections within workshop and on
  • Ensure health and safety training records for all staff are maintained and arrange training as
  • Work with Contract Managers to ensure project specific health and safety arrangements are satisfactory
  • Chair the Company's SHEQ Committee ensuring that all agreed action points are completed within
  • Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety & welfare at work legislation and communicate relevant changes to the
  • Travelling off site to work on projects worldwide, for a period of time, as and when
  • All other roles as reasonably requested by Management

HSEQ Manager Criteria:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Health and Safety qualification.
  • Experience in ISO9001, ISO14001, OSHAS18001 and /or ISO45001 accreditation.
  • At least 2 years' experience of operating and developing quality, environmental and health & safety management systems within either a Manufacturing or Construction setting.
  • Have the ability to work alone and as a team player and contributor.
  • Excellent planning / organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
