Vickerstock are delighted to be working with a leading global engineering and construction contractor with nearly 70-years of experience delivering major infrastructure projects. Employing more than 4,000 people worldwide and with a turnover in excess of €1b, this business has expertise across the Civil, Water, Rail, Power Generation and Ground Engineering sectors. With a new scheme due to kick off in Donegal they are now seeking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager, ideally from a MEICA background.

Your new role as a Contracts Manager (Water);

Reporting to the Projects Director the successful candidate will work on major water and wastewater projects starting on a significant Wastewater Treatment and Pumping Project in the Northwest region. Responsibilities will include;

  • Project manage all aspects of Water and Wastewater pumping and treatment installations, primarily focused on Mechanical / Electrical / ICA requirements in conjunction with our civil delivery team;
  • Take the lead on Contract Design in conjunction with our Process Design and Mechanical Design teams, considering innovative and whole life cost-efficient solutions;
  • Lead and liaise with Client Representatives upon Contract Award to develop a Project Execution Plan project programme and agreed set of project design deliverables;

What you will need to succeed as a Contracts Manager (Water);

  • Third Level Environmental, Mechanical, Civil or Chemical Engineering degree;
  • A minimum of 6-years' experience working in the water and wastewater sector;
  • Experience in Mechanical and Electrical design and ability to review and interpret specifications;
  • Experience and knowledge of various process designs in the Water & Wastewater Treatment sector;
  • Proven track record in delivery of projects with a mechanical & electrical focus;
