Utilities Engineer

Newry

Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Duties will include

  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and policies for the maintenance department, and meet all regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Manage third-party contractors by ensuring risk assessments, method statements, and necessary information are provided before work commences onsite.
  • Maintain up-to-date, technically correct Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for engineering and maintenance activities and manage the department to minimize downtime and maximize uptime of plant facilities.
  • Oversee KPI and performance metrics for Utility assets, tracking improvements in uptime and reliability, and ensure maintenance schedules are met and documented.
  • Maintain high team workmanship standards, implement Norbrook HR policies and procedures, and perform any other duties as deemed necessary by management.

What you'll need

  • Possess a qualification in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or a related field (City & Guilds, BTEC, or Degree).
  • Have a minimum of 5+ years of experience post-apprenticeship or 2 years of experience post-graduation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coordinate tasks, and execute plans effectively.
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement, with a proactive approach to implementing change.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and skilled in report generation.
