Job description
Vickerstock are working in partnership with a growing distribution business on the appointment of a Transport Manager. Our client is currently in the process of relocating operations to their NI site, giving the successful applicant the chance to work with autonomy in creating structure in a growing transport/dispacth function.
As the Transport Manager you will have full responsibilit for the development and mainteance of excellent service levels to enhance continuous improvement across numerous sister companies, with a primary focus on the NI site.

In your new role:
- Manage and resolve Transport, POD query resolution for site fast and efficiently.
- Oversee the effective usage of the company TMS
- Oversee relationsips with 3rd party providers
- Liaise with other group business units on the development of SLAs
- Amend and improve the existing transport infrastructure and processeses
- Ensure that your team are adhering to company policies and regulations.
- To set strategic objectives to create motivation and job satisfaction for all staff reporting direct to the postholder.
- To work in accordance with all company policies including Health and Safety, Employment, Staff, Quality and Environmental.
What you will need to succeed:
- CPC qualification or working towards.
- Experience of TMS usage
- Experience in or knowledge of Transport Modelling Systems
- Strong management capability with a confident and positive approach to challenges.
