Vickerstock are partnering with our FMCG client - renowned for their commitment to authenticity and excellence on the appointment of Technical Manager to join the team based in Newtownards.

As the successful Technical Manager, you will be responsible for all technical and food safety aspects of site food production, including quality systems, food safety, and legal compliance, along with the implementation of the Food Safety and Quality Plan for the site, including its distribution chain, and for the effective development and maintenance of all Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems, including HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, BRC, customer, legal standards.

What you will need to succeed:

• Excellent/robust communication and people skills across all layers of business.
• Middle to senior management experience in leading/ managing a multiskilled team
• Strong organizational and time-management ability for self and others
• Third level qualification in a food related discipline
• Strong IT and presentational Skills. Proficient in MS Office
• Extensive experience in a Similar Technical Management role within the food industry or similar.
• Experience of Co-ordinating and Leading on Projects
• Experience in dealing with Authorities, retail customers and stakeholder groups

Desirable Criteria (it would be great if you have these but don't worry if you don't)

• Experience/ Qualification of H&S and Environmental management Systems
• Experience or qualification in using Lean manufacturing tools and principles
• Lead Assessors qualification
