Strategic Buyer
Location: Dungannon
Full Time permanent position
On Offer: £45k - £50k + 10% Bonus depending on experience plus 31 days holidays, Life insurance and flexitime.

Role and responsibilities:
- Conduct a global audit of all company spending and develop a strategic buying plan to achieve short, medium, and long-term cost savings.
- Manage external suppliers, build strong partnerships, and maintain strategic relationships.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Business Development departments.
- Assess and integrate new and existing materials for optimal use.
- Research and select suppliers based on value, delivery, and quality within budget.
- Forecast demand and price trends to align purchasing with business needs.
- Improve purchasing efficiency by optimizing stock control, reducing spend, scrap, and inventory levels.
- Develop and maintain a supplier database for performance management and reporting on cost savings.
- Continuously negotiate supplier terms, monitor service quality, and manage payments and invoices.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers, negotiating supply agreements.
- Ensure compliance with Anti-Bribery policies and ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Essential:
- Relevant 3rd level qualification
- 5+ years of experience in strategic buying or strategic in place of formal qualifications.
- Proven experience in cost saving initiatives or projects within supply chain.
- Experience in an engineering environment.
- Strong business, planning, communication, problem-solving, and IT skills, particularly with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/SAGE systems.
Ray has 4+ years' experience specialising in Supply Chain and procurement.
