Job Title: Senior Engineer
Location: Donaghmede, Dublin
About Us: The client is a leading construction company specialising in delivering high-quality projects across Ireland. We are proud to announce our appointment as the Design & Build contractor for the Project in Donaghmede, a significant development aimed at addressing North Dublin's housing crisis. This €100m project will provide over 400 apartments and a childcare facility, contributing to the region's housing needs. We are committed to excellence in construction, utilising modern methods to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Project Overview: The Project will consist of two phases, each comprising three blocks over a substantial double basement. Utilising modern methods of construction (MMC), the project aims to meet program, quality, and budget requirements while mitigating health and safety risks. The first phase, currently underway, will deliver over 200 units along with residential amenity areas and a childcare facility.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and managed engineering aspects of the Project, ensuring adherence to design, budget, and schedule.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Oversee the construction process, including planning, execution, and quality control, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and client expectations.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, resolving engineering challenges and optimizing construction methodologies.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews, identifying and addressing issues proactively to maintain project momentum.
- Foster a culture of safety and quality on-site, promoting best practices and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction engineering, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of modern construction methods and techniques is preferred.
