Vickerstock is on the lookout for a vibrant and seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor to become an integral part of our client's committed team for a 2-year Residential Project in Dundalk. The salary provided is unparalleled, especially for those based in the North and looking to avoid frequent air travel.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in our projects, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective management of resources, materials, and finances. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Monitor project costs and expenditures to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure effective cost control.
  • Conduct cost analysis, risk assessment, and value engineering.
  • Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, and variations.
  • Assist in the procurement process, including negotiation with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to project stakeholders.
  • Assist in the resolution of contractual and commercial issues.
  • Continuously assess and manage project risks related to costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction costs, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and legal requirements.
  • Proficient in the use of industry-standard quantity surveying software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
