Job description

Vickerstock is proud to be working in partnership with an innovative and diverse Food Production Client on the appointment of Quality Supervisor for their site in Armagh. They are passionate about quality and are committed to supplying premium products that are fresh and locally sourced.

Reporting to the Technical Manager you will support the technical department in ensuring the factory is always audit ready for customer visits/department inspections.

What your typical day will look like as Quality Supervisor:

  • Liaising with all departments to ensure full compliance to standards.
  • Participate in ethical audits
  • Training out of new procedures / monitoring compliance to existing procedures
  • Point of contact to investigate and follow up on any complaints, including reviewing product quality in packhouse as required / focus products.
  • Point of contact for collection of water / product samples for analysis.
  • Monthly Fabrication and glass audits.
  • GMP compliance - daily as you go.
  • Support Technical department in conducting Traceability exercises/mock recalls.
  • Traceability compliance in picking houses / pallets at dispatch.
  • Monitoring and following up on all records e.g. knife / scales / chemical inventories / chemical usage / cleaning / pre and postproduction records.
  • Checking and addressing picked product in houses (correct weight, presentation, size, quality).
  • Supporting picking supervisors
  • Supporting packhouse where issues arise relating to weights, presentation, quality.
  • Ensuring all farm specifications up to date and accurate (liaising with Technical Manager on gaps).
  • Support Technical department in reviewing risk assessments with relevant departments as required

What you will need to secure your new role:

  • Strong Quality/Technical experience in food manufacturing
  • Degree or equivalent in a food related discipline
  • Capable of dealing with production issues
  • Good communication skills
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality
