Vickerstock are working in partnership with a major distribution business on the appointment of a Purchasing Manager on a full-time permanent basis. This is a brand new position which can be attributed to continuos growth and increased sales.

As the Purchasing Manager you will focus on procurement and supplier management with a strong emphais on effective negotiation and supplier relationship building and cost-saving measures while maintaining customer satisfaction.

In your new role, duties will include:

• Develop and effectively execute purchasing strategies
• Crafting negotiation strategies and closing deals.
• Forecast key prices and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
• Performing cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking.
• Sourcing and partnering with reliable vendors / suppliers.
• Monitoring and forecasting upcoming levels of demand.

What you will need to succeed:

• Four years's purchasing experience in the FMCG/Food industry.
• Strategic procurement experience is advantageous
• Confident and effective communicator
• BA Hons Degree is advantageous but not required.
