Production Manager (Food)
This is a hugely exciting time to be joining our leading Food Manufacturing Client - who produce the most delicious range of products - based in North Down with the appointment of new Production Manager. Our client, are hugely passionate about their quality products and it's no surprise they are experiencing unrivalled growth.

Your Day to Day as Production Manager.

As the successful Production Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the planning, co-ordination and management of production activity in your designated area of the factory.

  • Responsible for ensuring product and processes are manufactured and managed efficiently, safely, and that levels of stockholding meet Customer service KPI's and are compliant with agreed business inventory levels.
  • Accountable for all relevant Factory KPI's, ensuring agreed health and safety, food safety and quality standards are achieved.
  • Leading on Lean manufacturing principles and tools
  • Drive continuous improvement and implement stretch manufacturing KPI's, such as OEE, waste, giveaway and downtime to improve factory productivity and cost effectiveness.

Your essential ingredients.

  • Proven leadership ability/experience within a food production environment
  • Good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice, Food Safety and legislative requirements.
  • Strong organisational, planning and time-management ability
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Highly proficient in MS Office and manufacturing stock control system

Desirable

  • H&S Qualification, Food Hygiene qualification, Manual Handling, Chemical Handling, Forklift License
