Vickerstock are working in partnership with one of NI's leading manufacturing companies for the appointment of a Product Engineer. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager you will deliver engineering solutions and embedding production processes to meet the current and future challenges of the business

Your new role

• Support Engineering through R&D into new production methods and new materials
• Co-ordination of new GRP design concepts through to full production.
• Ensure the composite facility has adequate tooling to support NPI, inclusive of GRP moulds, transport frames, trim templates, router, and assembly tooling.
• Produce build drawings, workshop procedures and record modifications/improvements during development builds.
• Responsible for design for manufacture, including evaluation of mould designs to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Specification of processes, methods, equipment, and tooling to improve manufacturing safety, quality, velocity, and cost within the Composites production facility.

What you'll need

• Educated to HNC level in Engineering
• 5 years composite manufacturing experience, ideally within Motorsport, Automotive, Aerospace or a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Knowledge of process mapping and Continuous improvement techniques
• Knowledge of driving manufacturing improvement programs.
