Job description
Vickerstock are working in partnership with a major Utilties business with a turnover of circa €40m, that specialise in waste water treatment services among others, on the appointment of a Procurment Manager. This is a brand-new position for the business, which means that the successful candidate will have the opportunity to create an efficient and cost-effective procurment division.
As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, procurement, and contract management. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating agreements, analysing market trends, and coordinating procurement processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Benefits:
- Strong salary of up to €80,000
- Annual bonus of 12%
- Matched pension contribution with the choice of 5% or 7.5%
- 23 days AL + bank holidays
- After 6-12 months experience, hybrid can be become available.
In your new role, you will be responsible for:
- Sourcing new suppliers, building long-term relationships.
- Negotiating purchasing agreements and managing subsequent contracts.
- Engage in effective negotiation with suppliers on costs and lead times
- Develop procedures and processes to ensure that materials function operates efficiently and effectively and continually monitor and report on relevant operational issues.

- Working closely with stakeholders and site managers to ensure all materials arrive in time for
What you will need to succeed:
- Supplier Evaluation and Contract Negotiation skills
- Analytical Skills and Procurement expertise
- Contract Management experience
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Water and waste treatment industry experience is advantageous. Civil Engineering and Constrction experience is relatable.
