Vickerstock are working exclusively in partnership with a manufacturing firm based in Ballynahinch on the appointment of a Procurement Manager.
This role would suit someone at Senior Buyer/Procurement Lead level looking to take the next step in their career.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a busy procurement team made up of 3 Buyers with a strong focus on negotiations. This includes the efficient, effective management and development of the Purchasing Tactical elements of the business to ensure all materials are on-site, and on time to meet customer demands.

In your new role:
Manage, mentor, and develop the team of 3 Buyers
Develop and monitor KPI's for the team with a strong focus on continuous improvement
Sourcing new suppliers, negotiating best prices and lead times
Developing relationships with new and existing suppliers, monitoring performance and ensuring all materials are on site on time and up to the quality standards expected
The timely annual review of all standard costs
Successfully manage the fast paced, high volume purchasing requirements
The timely, accurate and effective running and development of the MRP system
What you will need to succeed:
A minimum of 3 years experience working in a senior procurement position within a fast paced, manufacturing environment
Previous experience in using MRP/ERP system
Proven track record of successfully carrying out cost saving projects
