Vickerstock is proud to be partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a Payroll Specialist for a temporary 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to provide vital payroll and HR support, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining HR records and handling queries from employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Process monthly payrolls, manage payroll data, and resolve discrepancies.
Provide payroll support, responding to queries from employees and external stakeholders.
Maintain accurate HR records and ensure timely processing of transactions.
Handle HMRC transactions, statutory deductions, and employee absence records.
Collaborate with internal departments and support HR/Payroll-related projects.
Essential Criteria:
By the closing date for applications, candidates must have:

• A minimum of five GCSEs, Grade C or above (to include English Language and Maths), or equivalent (e.g., relevant NVQ Level II).
• A minimum of two years' experience directly processing payroll for 250+ employees, including inputting and processing payrolls to strict deadlines.
• A minimum of two years' experience working within a high-volume HR/Payroll administrative function, including:
• Providing advice and support on employment terms, HR/Payroll policies, and statutory payments.
• Liaising with external stakeholders (HMRC, pension bodies, unions) and internal departments.
• Experience using Oracle HR/Payroll modules or similar systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Business Objects, OBIEE).
• Knowledge of Oracle HR/Payroll modules and system testing.
• CIPP Year One qualification.
