Job description
Vickerstock are excited to be working in partnership with our award-winning Food Manufacturing client on the appointment of NPD Specifications Technologist to join the team at their state-of-the-art factory in Craigavon.

What your day to day will look like:
- Organise resources to achieve the day to day delivery of factory trials and projects
- Assist in the monitoring and benchmarking of product quality of new and existing product.
- Support the process of creating and delivering customer NPD samples & mock-ups
- Organise & deliver nutritional, organoleptic, micro and cooking analysis samples
- Organise factory trials and help write up factory trial reports
- Generate accurate recipes and QAS type documents
- Co-coordinate all information for new product specifications and transfer data into specific customer formats.
- Sign off packaging, including checking artwork against specification through several stages.
- Produce and amend internal factory specifications for each new product or update changes to existing product specifications.
- Manage customer specification web systems, including sensory assessments for new products, preparation of attribute sheets and organisation of photography of visual standards.
- Review & update customer specifications within required timelines
- Review new product shelf lives from the laboratory and new suppliers and convert them to product specifications.
- Any other duties as required by management.
What you will need to succeed
- 2 years experience in a similar role working successfully with other departments
- Experience with Technical Systems and Standards and Management within Food Manufacturing.
- Third level qualification in a relevant discipline
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with people (internal and external) across all levels
- High level of computer literacy to include Microsoft Excel, Word and Internet
- Methodical approach, highly organized with good prioritization skills, the ability to work to short deadlines and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimum direction required
