Vickerstock are proudly working alongside our food manufacturing client in Newtownards to recruit a Maintenance Technician. Our client has been a leading supplier to retail and foodservice customers internationally for decades after being formed initially as a small family business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician who would like to transition to a role that will allow for a good work/life balance.

Duties of this role will include

• Carrying out fault-finding and repairs of all site production Machinery, keeping downtime to a minimum level.
• Monitoring the performance of machinery and equipment on site, reporting any repeat issues.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of all maintenance work carried out.
• Assisting with installations of new machinery when required.

Criteria for this role

• Time-Served Engineering apprenticeship (preferably served within a food/FMCG environment).
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work well as part of a team as well as working well unsupervised when necessary.
