Maintenance Technician

Lurgan

Up to £53k (inclusive of shift premiums etc)

Vickerstock are currently working in partnership with our food manufacturing client based in Lurgan to assist them in recruitment of a Maintenance Technician.

Our client is a reputable supplier of fresh food products to many leading retailers across the UK and Ireland.

What will this role involve?

• Conducting planned Maintenance in line with PPM schedules.
• Carrying out both reactive maintenance on all machinery/equipment across the site, diagnosing faults quickly and carrying out effective repairs to ensure minimal downtime.
• Liaising with other departments and keeping them up to date with regards to the status of machinery, as well as liaising with outside contractors and suppliers.
• Suggesting areas of improvement and implementing these changes accordingly.
• Participating in Engineering projects.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.

What will you need?

• Multi-skilled Engineering background, with a strong working knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic systems.
• A third level Engineering qualification.
• Experience within a similar role, preferably within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work well from your own initiative, both unsupervised and as part of a team.
