I am currently recruiting for 2 engineering roles in the West Midlands for a food manufacturing company. Please see the details below.
£42,000 - £45,000 DOE
Monday - Friday (3 shift rotation)
6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm / 10pm - 6am
Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Department: Engineering
Reporting To: Maintenance Manager

Principal Purpose of Role:
To maintain all manufacturing plant, equipment and facilities in good working order. Improve equipment reliability by increasing the mean time between failure (MTBF) while reducing the mean time to repair (MTTR). Main Duties: * Carry out repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe and professional manner. * Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM). * Carry out PPM schedules as necessary and planned works orders as required. * Assist visiting specialist engineers when necessary. * Report breakdown root cause, equipment faults and concerns to line Manager. * Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues. * Make full use of CMMS * Plan/prioritize workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time * Assist in the meeting of daily production plan. * Fill in job tickets/ CMMS on completion of work accurately and in a timely manner. * Typical example of work would be to respond to maintenance request for equipment fault, diagnose fault, repair and return equipment to operational service. All work to be carried out operating in a safe and efficient manner. (a process of dynamic risk assessments operated). * Identify spares requirements, log usage and aid in control
* Assist in the moving, installation and repositioning of machines and equipment.

* To work in an efficient manner by performing duties in such a way as to not effect the environment negatively, waste materials unnecessarily, damage company property or effect the success of the team of which one is a member
* To protect the general security of the site and the people working in it
* To ensure any process change or improvement complies with all relevant health and safety policies

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
PERSONAL PERFORMANCE
* To ensure line performance is optimised.
* To communicate all issues to team leader/shift Production Manager.
* Services breakdown to notify Maintenance and Production Managers immediately.
* Maintenance and Production Managers must be notified of any stoppages lasting one hour or more.
