Machining Engineer - CNC

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a global manufacturing company for the recruitment of a Machining Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for ensuring maximum running efficiency for the machines.

Your new role

• Optimise machining processes to increase capacity and machine availability, improve OEE, and reduce cycle time and scrap rate.
• Create and maintain tool management system, ensuring tooling availability for manufacturing process.
• Create and edit CNC programs.
• Optimise and edit robot programs to ensure repeatability in process and reduce cycle time.
• Direct response efforts in accordance with production problems.
• Develop machining cell layout for existing and new cells.
• Assist with the development and implementation of new product development.
• Assist with the machine and process training of operators and supervisors as required.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Practices.

What you'll need

• 3rd level qualification in an engineering related subject.
• Experience in a similar CNC Machining role.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings including hydraulic fixture drawings.
• Experience of fault finding.
