Logistics Planning Coordinator
Armagh
Vickerstock are delighted to be working with a reputable logistics company on the recruitment of a Logistics Planning Coordinator to join their team on a part time permanent basis.
The role will cover the shift from Friday - Monday and will include weekends.
You will be responsible for the transport co-ordination, liasing with customers and ensuring the performance of the drivers is effectively managed.
Duties for the Logistics Planning Coordinator will include:
Planning daily work schedules for drivers
Accommodate additional customer orders efficiently on a daily basis.
Ensure that the performance of drivers is effectively managed.
Manage driver & vehicle scheduling to ensure all deliveries/collections meet customers' expectations.
Deal with any issues that arise, and problem solve effectively.
Ensure activities within operations are carried out with the highest regard and in accordance with legal, environmental and company policies.
Route optimisation: Analysing routes to ensure efficient delivery schedules, minimising mileage and fuel consumption.
What you will need to succeed as a Logistics Co-ordinator with this organisation:
Proven experience in transportation coordination or a related field
Competent using MS Office, in particular, MS Excel
Knowledge of Tachograph & WTD
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in using transportation management software and systems.
Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
