Job description

Vickerstock are working in exclusive partnership with a Manufacturing business who specialise in machinery, parts, and components on the appointment of a Logistics Coordinator on a full-time permanent basis.

As the Logistics Coordinator, you will be the specialist in managing high volume imports from GB and mainland Europe as well the exports to a global customer base in countries such as the USA, Mexico, China and beyond. You will also be responsible for effectively dealing with all customs related paperwork related to the TSS and UKIMS frameworks.

In your new role:

  • Full administration of shipments tasks both export to global customer base and import from selected suppliers EU & GB.
  • Preparation of shipment documents including delivery notes, commercial invoices, customs & clearance documentation, certificates of origin and temporary imports as required.
  • Complete UKMIS, TSS entries for goods received from GB to NI including at risk shipments.
  • Shipping of orders from MRP/CRM systems.
  • Work with carriers (Air Freight & Courier) to schedule shipments and track deliveries.
  • Ensure company compliance with tariff codes, commodity codes, import duties and required documentation for target markets.
  • Resolve any transportation-related issues that may impact delivery times.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to provide updates and address concerns.
  • Participate in planning meetings to align logistical tasks with Production schedule.
  • Analyse logistics data to identify trends, areas for improvement and cost savings

What you will need to succeed:

  • 2 years' recent experience in a high volume logistics/import/export coordinator role
  • Experience dealing with customs declarations and a global customer base
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment
