Intermediate QS | Antrim

Our client is a locally run Design and Build company specialising in Business Workspaces. They require an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Antrim. In this role you w assist in the estimating & pre-construction departments. From initial high-level cost estimates to fully specified and detailed quotations and ensure all proposals meet client expectations.

Your new role as an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

• Undertake site measures, surveys and quantity takeoffs for projects and prepare well detailed quotations and tenders
• Work alongside Client Relations to understand client's budgets and project drivers
• Prepare all necessary project documentation to go alongside a cost proposal/ tender
• Continuously review and improve cost proposals to ensure client expectations are met
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain best pricing and packages
• Work closely with Design & Delivery team to ensure project quality and cost accuracy
• Assist Client Relations team in creating, pitching, and presenting high-quality proposals and presentations
• Keep up to date and network with suppliers, subcontractors and industry trends

What you will need to succeed as an Intermediate QS

• Relevant Degree qualified with at least 2 years' experience
• Experience within Commercial fit-out industry would an advantage
• Knowledge of industry trades & supply costings
• Experience presenting cost proposals
• Experience in using company server structures, software and CRM systems
