Job description
Vickerstock are proud to be partnering with a leading facilities management company to recruit a Health & Safety Officer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing health and safety support and governance to front line operational teams across multiple industries. This role can be located in Dublin or Cork
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance on health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance matters to operational teams.
- Assist in developing and implementing QHSE initiatives across various business lines.
- Conduct regular site audits and risk assessments, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
- Lead accident investigations and ensure appropriate remedial actions are taken.
- Facilitate the implementation, monitoring, and review of the Company's integrated QHSE management system.
- Advise management on relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Chair Safety Committee and Safety Rep. Meetings.
- Assist in drafting and communicating Method Statements.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Health & Safety with 2+ years' experience.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance procedures and legislation.
- Proven ability to conduct investigations, audits, and compile reports.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Flexible with a full clean driver's license.
- Ability to work autonomously and within teams in a fast-paced environment.
