Job description
HR Officer
Vickerstock are working alongside a leading FMCG client to recruit for a HR Officer to join their team to work between 2 of their sites in Omagh and Lifford.
The HR Officer will be part of an established HR team.
The HR Officer will be responsible for the following:
Updating recruitment processes
Drive improvement in employee welfare
Implement a talent management strategy including workforce planning, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, retention, training and development, performance planning, management development and succession planning
Development of an overall HR business plan with measurable objectives
Administer the HR systems
Manage local inductions for all new starts
Responsible for new employee administration
Responsible for leaver administration, including conducting exit interviews
Assist managers with absence management and advising HR Manager on those requiring occupational health referrals
Complete and analyse weekly and monthly HR Reports and KPI's
Ensure compliance with relevant HR policies, procedures, practices and employment legislation
The HR Officer should be able to demonstrate the following:
3 years general HR Officer experience;
A third level qualification in a relevant discipline (i.e., Business Studies / Human Resource Management);
Knowledge of both NI and ROI employment legislation;
Experience of providing support and guidance to managers on employee relations, recruitment, company policy and procedure; including attendance management, performance management, disciplinary, grievance and health and well-being issues;
Experience of working with Trade Unions;
Excellent communication skills at all levels both verbal and written;
IT literate with experience in HR and time management software;
Be highly articulate and an organised multitasker;
Confident and engaging approach;
A CIPD Level 5 qualification and hold CIPD membership;
