Job description
Electrical Tendering Engineer
County Cavan
Vickerstock are currently working alongside a rapidly growing, cutting-edge engineering and manufacturing company to assist with the recruitment of an Electrical Tendering Engineer.
As a Tendering Engineer you will be responsible for preparing, managing, and submitting competitive bids for engineering projects.
Responsibilities
Prepare and compile all necessary documents, drawings, calculations, and cost estimates required for submission
Review and understand the technical and commercial requirements of the tender documents.
Ensure that tender documentation is competitive, accurate, complete, and submitted within the specified deadlines
Provide technical support and clarification during the evaluation and negotiation phases
Coordinate with sales managers, design, production and planning teams for high quality delivery.
Develop estimates based on project specifications, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontracting costs
Analyse and evaluate the feasibility of the project from a financial and manufacturing perspective.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain necessary information and clarifications.
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
3 years' minimum experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of engineering principles and electrical distribution practice
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Project; experience with tendering software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is beneficial.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in document preparation and cost calculations.
