Job description
Vickerstock are working in partnership with an environmental utilities firm on the appointment of a EHS Officer.
As an EHS Officer, you will provide advice and guidance in relation to Health and Safety throughout the organisation.

In your new role:
- Provide Health & Safety advice and guidance across the organisation
- Update the Health & Safety Statement in accordance with legislation
- Annually review and approve site-specific risk assessments
- Manage all accident and incident reports, including documentation, on-site investigation, reporting to senior management and insurers, and handling claims/court proceedings if applicable
- Conduct specific H&S audits and report to the senior management team and the board
- Develop and maintain quarterly and annual board reporting systems
- Identify annual H&S training requirements for the business
- Review and approve the necessary PPE requirements for the business
- Review and enhance the Integrated Management Systems policy in line with best practices and Lean Six Sigma policies
- Maintain all company Integrated Management Systems accreditation
- Identify and mitigate environmental, health, safety, and quality issues affecting the company
What you will need to succeed:
- Relevant Health & Safety qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in an EHS role
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards
- A proactive and flexible working approach with the ability to adapt to changing situations and duties - regular travel will be required
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
- Experience of working to asset management plans and following set procedures in a Health & Safety environment
- Experience in working with regulatory bodies
- Project management / change management experience
Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):
- Experience in the construction industry preferred
- PSCS and PSDP experience would be a distinct advantage
