Controls Engineer

Newry

Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Duties will include

  • Conducting daily electronic maintenance on control systems and automated equipment, following company SOPs.
  • Implementing quality-driven changes to improve equipment reliability and collaborating across departments for business solutions.
  • Supporting design, installation, and commissioning of new control systems and instrumentation, and providing technical support for system specifications and troubleshooting.
  • Administering control systems, managing user data, and ensuring compliance with cGxP regulations, while overseeing external contractors' adherence to company procedures.
  • Preparing project documentation for process control improvements and recommending solutions to optimise production systems.

What you'll need

  • Higher-level qualification in engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of process control and instrumentation with strong technical skills.
  • Proven experience in PLC-based control system fault finding, planned maintenance, and understanding PLC logic code (Siemens/Mitsubishi).
  • Logical, organized problem-solving skills, and ability to perform under time pressure.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
