Package: £32k depending on experience plus 30 days holidays (plus stats) time keeping bonus up to £1100

Working hours: Core hours are 8am - 5pm / Monday - Friday with some flexibility.

A leading manufacturer suppling into the construction industry in Northern Ireland. The company serves a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, civil engineering, and construction, offering an extensive portfolio of products.

Role and responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize sourcing, supplier selection, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets, while managing supplier relationships and performance.
• Collaborate with departments (production, finance, operations) to align procurement with business needs and streamline processes.
• Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and resolve supply issues to ensure smooth operations and minimize costs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, Brexit-related customs paperwork, and stay updated on market trends and regulatory requirements.

Essential:

• 1+ years of experience as a Buyer within and engineering / construction function.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Packages.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the procurement team.
• Willingness to be flexible to suit business needs.
