Vickerstock are working in partnership with a construction firm based in Limerick on the appointment of an experienced Buyer.

You will work as part of a multi-functional team ensuring all material are delivered on time and within budget.

In your new role:

• Build relationships with existing and potential new suppliers while continually monitoring performance
• Frequently liaise with the Engineering & Project teams, collating specifications, technical and quality requirements
• Frequently liaise with the finance department regarding invoice queries
• Manage the RFQ process involving all relevant stakeholders ensuring appropriate technical and end user reviews are incorporated and recorded
• Carry out expediting activities
• Highlight risks and any supply issues to the relevant Project Team
• Ensure that project materials are being tracked in consistent manner
• Strong focus on continuous improvement in the procurement department

What you will need to succeed:

• A minimum of years purchasing experience within the construction industry
• Relevant 3rd level qualification
• Strong Microsoft Office & ERP/MRP systems experience
