Vickerstock are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and reputable company in the FMCG sector to recruit an accountant. The successful candidate will play a key role in the Finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller and Senior Management Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow with the company and progress into a Financial Controller position.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, experience with SAGE software, and the ability to manage their workload efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process supplier invoices, credits, and prepare payment files
• Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts and general ledger postings
• Record bank transactions and manage reconciliations
• Balance sheet management and account reconciliations
• Assist in VAT returns and external audits
• Oversee payroll processing and liaise with HR for record-keeping
• Contribute to IT initiatives and ongoing finance projects

Desirable Skills:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an SME environment
• Proficiency in SAGE and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience in the FMCG sector is an advantage
• Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills
• Desire for continuous improvement and initiative-driven
